Hey Mama,
How's your end of year marathon going so far?
Similar to hers perhaps while longing for that glass of your preferred
soothe me potion too?
Don't feel guilty for it either, my soothe me potion can also be a lovely glass of red sometimes white but if I aint got time for that a simple hot cuppa of my fave herbal tea with a slice of lemon can also represent a moment I'd rather be in outside of the manic juggle we Mamas are in at any given moment.
So here's some real Talk for ya about me:
Over the past 4 years I've become a Mama of 3, yes (only 3) my hat goes off to you all with more!!
Along my journey so far I've experienced more anxiety and overwhelm than I ever did with just 2.
I believe it's a mixture of stepping into my passion, becoming way more conscious in knowing my purpose, my calling in the world and how I'm meant to serve and who I'm meant to serve with the unique set of gifts I was given and juggling that with raising my beautiful babies.
If you get what I'm talking about you'll know it sure as hell ain't easy to stay on track with the vision in addition to juggling life as a Mama.
I've found when I'm out of my home and enjoying adventure moments
with my babies, I'm always present like this.
But those moments are rare and few between so in my home life,
I can often look like this:
This too except the laundry is not perfectly placed randomly around me it's a straight tornado blizzard of any mixture of clean or dirty that kids and their father have dumped along their travels on their way in and out, or around our home. And that's just their laundry mess! lol
For the past month, I've felt truly run down so much so that my body forced me to wake the F up in a sense. I had pushed myself to get back into workout mode, eat right and all that good stuff, you know when you finally make the decision to get back on the horse to trim down and take control of your health AGAIN.....
I was ambitious in creating these new changes for me and with my kids too. However I ignored my body's signals at every step and ended up on my couch for well over a week with my entire body in aches, pains, chills, and coughing non-stop.
I was a dam mess and my body forced me to stop being the caretaker of everyone and everything and to simply be taken care of. That was some hard shit to do while peering out from beneath my blankets and hugging on my hot water bottle to see the usual tornado blizzard of mess just get bigger and bigger each day.
But like you've heard before, there's always a blessing in the lesson.
The lesson was fkn LISTEN to your body lol
The blessing was, my brain switched on and in straight creator mode so in between the physical yucky unwellness, tune in and create is what I did!
I've been on a journey of putting the jigsaw puzzle pieces together for so dam long
I've lost patience with myself!
But during this forced WAKE UP time of healing on the couch some of those jigsaw puzzle pieces came about in the following ways.
- Inspiration to start this blog to help me publish RealTalk stories that matter to me and you including the Food for the Mamas' Soul series I'm now putting together after so many amazing interviews with Mamas who inspire me to keep going on my path.
- The kick up the a$$ I needed to re-vise & re-focus on this getting back to basics women's wellness service I launched just before covid hit.
This is the new re-branding.
The Mama Ora is still in there and very dear to my heart but it features as a specifically designed program for Mamas in the juggle now.
So let me walk you through this special in-person service
that I got super clear on while stuck on the couch.
A getting back to basics service that solves our longing for a simpler time while also empowering us to thrive in this much busier modern way of life that has us carrying the world upon our shoulders,
So much so that we find ourselves in RUNDOWN mode like I did recently.
This service is something that I WANT and wish was available for ME right now.
Have you ever thought while laying back and enjoying the hair wash/massage part of your hair appointment that you wish it would just last LONGER?
I know I have and many other wahine out there that wish this too!
The fact of the matter is, the hair wash part is not on any salons top priority or focus for why you walk in their doors, so when you want something and it's not available what do you do?
"Necessity is the mother of invention"
So here's what I've come up with
